Well, there is sort of a chain of command ,or a process, that we go through when there's things, we as CITIZENS like or don't like. Kind of like who to go to first, second, third etc. when there's problems at your job. You don't go storming the owners office or get your friends to join you in a march because you didn't get Friday nite off when you asked. So...we are going through our chain of command and letting our concerns be heard. They in turn go to congress and hopefully express our concerns. Now when we go through the proper channels and it's seems they are not listening or taking our concerns into consideration when they vote......well then I'm sure you will see some different action. With the fence bill our voices were heard. Our concerns are being addressed at local levels as well. We are not solving the problem in 1 smooth move or necessarily getting action yet at every move.....but the process is working. It doesn't have the shock factor but our efforts are not going un-noticed where it counts. It's not a quick fix. Heck I've been at this for years. Amnesty is a quick solution to a long standing problem that will face us again if they don't FIX the problem areas. A march is a quick solution for one group who's only concern is what is best for them now and not considering the future ramifications of their personal demands. These guys think that if they get amnesty, problem solved. Sorry.....it's not. It's only begun. That's why as much as they try to make this an anti-mexican issue, it's not. It's SO much more than that. It's not over when they build the fence, it's not over even if they deported them all or granted them all amnesty, or a more complicated "path to citizenship". It's not over until they deal with and FIX many problems in this system. This is the most pressing issue now because it's the most problematic right now.....but it's much, much, more than this. Many of the people on the anti side know this. I'm not sure the pros have a clue beyond just a temporary quick fix, on one part, of a very complicated problem that effects everyone. Maybe it doesn't affect you now, but the issues will knock on your door eventually. This is not a quick fix issue and marching on Washington right now is no more effective than a temper-tantrum. I guess it's the difference between how an adult deals with a problem vs a toddler.

Because there is not point on doing that. I think the one to blame is their government. If they offer them the same opportunities that we get here, they didn't have to come here. Their government is all about abuse the poor, take it from the wealthy, and get rich with that. I went to their country all the way south, is beautiful, their history, their roots all of it., the people is so nice, and friendly, but their is a lot of poverty. Do you know that their is not middle class? Is Low class and Upper class. The US has low class, middle class, and Upper class. Their Upper class travels around the US, Europe etc. but the low class can't do it. They have to cross the river to have a better life. They do get to have the money but not the class. Now I don't hate illegal Aliens. They deserve a better way of life, just for being humans.
Unfortunately their government won't ever make it easy for them. And marching to Washington won't either.
Katsulove, your logic doesn't work either. Think harder, if as you said that their job was to run things and make sure other work for their money, then how can you explain the fact that everybody here has to work hard so we can get annuity at an old age? I don't know how old are you, but I bet, you are no a doctor, lawyer or a business person. But for your point of view, you most be one of those employees eating a big sandwich.
This topic is very controversial, and for that we need an open mind.

There may well be protest in the streets if full scale amnesty is given to illegal aliens.Right now its sort of a waiting game to see whats going to happen. We have learned that protests in the streets aren't really that effectual,it takes lobbying and money to get laws changed or problems resolved. We must try to do things legally first and if all else fails then we will "take it to the streets"

silvcubo.that's because the Caucasians are the bosses ,their job is to run things and make sure other work for their money. The bosses worked hard to become the boss so your logic doesn't work.Americans are the most enterprising people in the world. You need to stop believing what you are being force fed by radicals and people that hate this nation and its legal citizens.

we dont need a march to be heard, often that is done by the under represented groups in the US and for the most part around the world. The majority often never march in any situation or cause.

Like how the Mexicans marched???

In the end would it matter... as long as Bush is in office and as long as politicans stay politicians (ergo corrupt and idiotic bastards) then nothing of value will happen.

How about marching on the border?

2006-12-01 01:12:46 · answer #8 · answered by Anonymous · 4 0

Because it's easier to sit at home, and complain about something, and not do nothing about it. Besides this country was built by immigrants (legal and illegal).
