Three primary routes:

Attend the US Air Force Academy. You get your college degree and a commission upon completion.

Attend a college and participate in AFROTC. Upon completion of your degree you will receive a commission.

Attend college and graduate. Then apply and attend Officer Candidate School. Upon completion you will receive a commission.

Participation in any of the programs requires acceptance by the USAF, a clean record and US citizenship.

Good Luck!

The degree doesn't matter so much but it depends on what you want to do. Speaking to a recruiter and doing research outside of answers will do the trick. One of the best things...... find a local American Legion and find an officer who is retired. You will learn more in 5 minutes than you could elsewhere and also maybe gain a mentor or contacts.

4 years of college to start then Officer candidate school. As I recall from years ago no specific degree is required but an engineering type degree wouldn't hurt.
