dont do it You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customizable to suit your need and no problems.

I probably think you have pirated version of the Windows XP or something else.
to use IE 7 your windows product must be genuine.
moreover you need faster RAM and win XP would be of best choice.
it does not work well for win 98 or previous version
my friend suggested me P4 processor and 512 MB RAM is recommended for IE 7
Note: IE 7 is aimed to be a part of WIN Vista.it works fine in Win vista.my friend tried it in Beta version

While i disagree with the other posters about IE7 (come on, it's not that bad, and it's a big improvement!), it looks as though you've got a pirated version of windows. Not that much you can do unless you fork out for a genuine version.
Try out firefox and opera though, and maybe "maxthon" too.

it shows when you have pirated version of the Windows XP.
or your key may have been stolen by some one else.
Without genuine version of windows you cannot install ie7.
either validate it by purchasing operating system(xp). or there may be some crack of it.
i am using fire fox 2.0 it is free and good you can also try opera it is also good.

u can get a cracked version from torrent sites

i din try it out, coz i hav genuine windows
but i sure came across a wmp11 install without the genuine check
so i believe this should also be available.

you do not have an original copy of windows.so you cannot install ie7.
try mozilla firefox or opera instead.mozilla firefox is far better than ie7 in security and speed.opera is the fastest.both are free.
