Tricare Prime is the best that they offer for the Military.
Tricare has some limitations. You need to find a local doctor that will accept Tricare. Check the Tricare website and you may be able to find a doctor in your area.

as long as you are more than 50 miles away from a MTF, you can go on Prime Remote. It's jsut like Prime( no copays, full coverage) but you don't have to be seen by a Miltary Treatment Facility, you just need to be seen by a doctor that is a PARTICIPATING PROVIDER..NOT one that just accepts it.. those peopel can charge you(legally) the difference between the cost of treatment and what Tricare pays.

They are right its TriCare Prime Remote. I used this when I had my son. They have a lot of hospitals to choose from. You can either find them online through tricare or they can send you the booklet of participating providers. They pay 100% if your husband is active duty. They took care of everything for us.

try to get Tricare remote, I think you are elegible if you live more than a certain distance from the closest base and your spouse is active duty. You might have to write a request to the base commander or something, but for an hour and a half drive while preg is worth it. Good luck!

You can get Tricare Prime it helps you out with the co pays are $12.00 at the doctors. I have it and we live 80 miles away from the base. You can look on-line at the providers in you area at Tricare.com. I would go with it because we have good doctors we use and they are only about 15 miles from our house. Good Luck with the new baby and tell your husband we are proud of him.

Have you talked to anyone at the Tricare Service Center on your base. They could be a lot of help if you don't want to just talk to someone on the phone.

Many doctor's offices and hospitals accept tircare, you just have to call and ask if they specifically do. There is usually a small deductable, as with all insurance. You just have to call them and find out.
