why are people so vindictive and rude on these questions? i mean most people on here are looking for honest answers... not some shmuck to shoot them down. Why are people so mean in here? are we really that bitter?

and i also love the fact that i wasnt talking about myself... I dont care, its just some people on her are brutal, and the ones that are brutal, you cant e-mail either LoL.. its just funny, its like they wouldnt ever say it to anyones face, but they tend to be harda.sses on here about it LoL.. whatever, i just dont get it, i say what i know and what i would say to your face if i was sitting in front of you...

It tells me that people don't take problems seriously here because the problems aren't happening to them. No empathy.
Also, I think most people have been through the dating romance wringer, and don't view it as life and death -- so they have the luxury of being flip or lighthearted or at the other end of things, very cynical and sarcastic in their responses.
But I agree. God alone can help the person who comes HERE for a serious answer... and it's not just the singles and dating area, either, you may have noticed.

i'm not an expert with this but for me yes, some people are bitter with those questions (and some of them doesn't know they are) that's why they tend to "don't care" and be bitter and defensive with those topics because they had a bad experience (or don't have any experience at all) with that topic. and yeah, some of them think that they're better than everybody that's why they answer questions so arrogantly that they think they know everything and everybody around him are stupid. what he doesn't know is that HE IS the one who is stupid.
oops, NOW i'm the one who's bitter. haha! but you get the picture. all of us are bitter/mean in one way or another. hope i helped. =)

because there is no one to stop it mainly
society as a whole is really that bitter
sometimes the question is purposely put up for that type of response
some people get a kick out of putting others down
there's an over abundance of schmucks on the internet in case you haven't noticed

I have no idea i always wondered that myself. Some people get off on being mean to others,and have nothing good to say to anyone. THats obviously because they are miserable within themselves,so making others feel like **** that makes themself feel better about them. Actually its pretty sad how sad some people are.

There will always be rude or mean people. In my personal experience with this forum, the good answers far outweigh the bad. That's as much as we can hope for.

truth and people dont want to here it.
i believe yahoo answers should change there name to yahoo opinion. in most cases though the ones that ive read yeah there are rude people but there are also people that tell of there experience in the single and dateing yahoo answer. and i believe when its not something that the person that wrote the question wants to hear he/she assumes we are being rude when in all rights we are telling you the answer its just not something thats buttered up and definatly not something you want to hear

I think alot of it is to score points they dont really no what there talking about! Ive seen a lot of sensitive issues regarding deaths and things where people have commented with "get over it" and things like that, obviously worthless people.

I think sometimes we get mad at people who are clearly just stupid and their stupidity is effecting other people's lives. Like cheaters for instance.
