The oil pan seems to be sitting right on the cross-member, and has caused a crack or split and oilt is dripping out at a constant rate.
I checked the Motor mounts (did the brake/drive/reverse thing to check IF the were broken) NOT the case, but they seem to be "sagging",,,the rubber parts "look" "stressed".
Could it be that the motor mounts NEED replacing?? Will that bring the engine up higher, so the pan clears the crossmember??

Also, can the pan be replaced by lifting the enging up slightly OR does it need to come out ALL the way??

I quess I can replace the motor mounts by "lifting" the motor up by the pan (with wood& Jack) and too, do I have to loosen the Trans Mount??

Yes to all except do not lift the engine by the pan. It would be hard to replace it that way.

Sounds like you just need to loosen the motor mounts enough to jack the engine up.It's possible that the rubber gromets on the motor mounts are dry rotted,allowing the engine to drop.

before all of those yahoos come on the following and commence attempting to provide the Fram yet another black eye about how undesirable they're. i have used Fram filters for yrs. and under no circumstances once had a topic w/ 'em, leaks or in the different case. So, i'd say the oil cooler line is the position you want to be lookin for the leak. because it purely looks fantastically not likely that an oil clear out(Fram or in the different case) might want to commence leakin as quickly because it is been seated durin the initial installation. (presented you're changin the clear out each 3-5K miles.) reliable luck!

change the mounts and it will help that problem .i would use a cherry picker and lift engine from the top you do not have to take off trans mount or remove engine completely

Be sure to remove fan blade before jacking up engine, and ck dist cap for clearance

Whether it's a 2.5 or 4.3, possibly even 2.8, it is a bear to do if 2wd. The 4x4 trucks are actually easier because all you have to do is pull the dif to get at it.
