We have known each other for a long time, and I have liked him for a long time. He lives in a different state. He asked me out on a date last year, and then stood me up, he said I was to immature for him. I'm not an immature person, everyone tells me that. He sent me a message yesterday saying he was going to be in town, was I gonna come see him. He said he was coming in the morning, I told him I would love to see him but I can't cause I have to work, if he is still around after 5 to let me know and if he wanted to I would meet him somewhere. We never stoped talking after he stood me up. He asked what my bf would say, I told him I didn't have one, he never wrote me back. Not wanting to push it I didn't write him back either. He's 34 and I'm 20 soon to be 21. He said he's been wanting to ask me out, since I was like 15, but he was waiting till I got legal. Does he like me but he scared, or what?? Should I try to persue this or just let it be?

I know that's a big age difference, it can mean alot between me and him. We are in different parts of our lives.

Let it be. I'm a guy and I can tell you all this other guy wants is some nookie. Let's see: He asked you out, then stood you up, then called you immature. Never wrote you back, but now he's comin to town and wants to see you. I'd bet he's got a girlfriend where he lives and he's hoping to get a little on the side while he's away from home. If all you want is a little bedroom romp, then go out with him. As for long term relationship material: this guy is a loser and it won't happen; avoid him.

As far as the age thing goes, it doesnt matter now... At least he waited til you were legal..lol... I would say just take it slow and see what happens. If its ment to be it will be... Dont be pushy and let what happens happen.. Alot can change in a year, so hopefully you have matured and so has he... It's a fact that women mature faster than guys, so you are probably at his maturity level now.. Good Luck and I hope all works out.

this one you will have to be careful. he could be a sensitive caring guy who would want to have a relation ship with you. then again he could just be looking for a little uhn tiss uhn tiss. there are many things you have to look at. first is how much it means to you. if you give it a shot and all he wants is a one time thing or a booty call how would that make you feel? also you have to consider is it worth it. and in the very the only answer you can find is inside of you. look into your heart and listen too it.

Ahh, honey.... why do you offer yourself to this loser? It's bad enough that you carry on talking to him after he stood you up and called you immature!
You deserve better, not to mention, he sounds creepy. You don't even know who he is, this whole 'affair' sounds like a recipe for disaster. Protect yourself!

From what you've said it sounds to me like he is the immature one not you. It also sounds like he is playing games and that is something l could never put up with. I think you deserve alot better than him.

If that is what you want then persue him. The age difference can be a hinderance but I think you could work through it.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding this, but it sounds like he was "leading you on" while he thought you were dating someone else, but once he found out you weren't he stopped? If that is the case, it makes me wonder if he was not actually interested in you as someone to have a relationship with, but as someone to have sex with whenever he was in your town.

Dating someone in another state will never work because you,re unable to see each other. plus they usually have someone that they are married too or living with. move on to someone closer to your own age.

He is so obviously palying with you. You dont sound immature as you put your work and responsibilities first. He sounds like a jerk. Keep clear of him
