Hello, Are you sure of the spelling? I think you might mean Uvula? If so, that is the small piece of flesh that dangles from the top of the back of your mouth. I don't know what an ovula is.

Sorry, but I'm gonna need to know what OVULA means? I guess I'm just not as up to date on my acronyms as I should be. That's if it even is one??

It is not quite an appendage (appendage refers to either an arm or leg). It IS the piece of tissue that hangs in the back of the throat.

Do you mean Uvula? If you do, it's the soft tissue that hangs in the back of your throat from your soft palette.
