Lets not forget that when the decision to go to war was made, Democrats and Republicans alike signed the paper and said yes. Why, because in the wake of 911, that is what the people wanted.
This is not just a Democrat or Republican issue. You need to place blame on both side if you feel that there was a mistake made.
Why do Democratic Supporters want whatever is the opposite of the Republicans? Every government talk show I see, The Democrats are yelling for the exact opposite of what Bush wants. When Bush said "Stay the course" the Democrats wanted to pull all the Troops out. When Bush started talking about forming a plan for getting our troops home, the Democrats said it would be a mistake and the troops need to finish the job. Now Bush is talking about getting the troops home, but that it is going to take time and that he can not get them all home at once. Now the Democrats are yelling again for our troops to come home now. What do the democrats want???
Now back to your question. If you love and support our troops so much that you want them home and safe, then why are you going to dishonor the thousands that have died, by bringing the suvivors home before they have a chance to finish what they started. If they come home now the casualties will have died in vain and the troops still there will not be able to feel like the deaths of their friends meant anything.
Remember that the US Military is a voluntary service now days. So everyone in it signed up knowing the dangers that they might face. Every solider that I know is proud of the work they are doing over there.
If a decsion to come home needs to be made before the conflict is solved, the only people to make it should be the soliders themselves. Of course this will never happen. So until whoever makes the decsion comes up with a plan, stop with your opnions and let them make it, cause I'm tired of all the so called troop supportes yelling for them to come home. I want to see them come home safe too, but not until the issue in Iraq is solved or until the Troops feel it is an impossible mission to accomplish.
God Bless Our Troops!!!!!

perchance because Bush admitted there have been no WMD in Iraq. Then Bush went on television and made jokes about they might want to be accessible someplace. This change into for the time of a White abode dinner and over 4 thousand troops died and Bush is making jokes. The CIA recommended Bush 3 days earlier he attacked Iraq they couldn't discover any WMD. perchance Wikileaks isn't so properly recommended on the information.

Let me tell you why I say we can't just pull our troops out before Iraq is stable...
I'm wondering how we would pull our troops out in such a way as to not make the ones temporarilly left behind more vulnerable since Iraq is so unstable.. Obviously they can't all leave at the same time.
I wonder how those who just want them out of Iraq lock, stock and barrel would deal with that situation. It seems like it is all or nothing. Stay there or leave. Who is going to point to which soldier and say you get to go home immediately and you can't. You get to leave in a month from now but in the meantime don't get killed.
If we care soo much for all of our troops wellbeing how is leaving prematurely going to give the utmost protection to all of them. No one here at Yahoo answers who just wants the troops out addresses what the consequences are to those left behind waiting for their turn to leave.
If you truly cared then you would be taking into consideration how to get *all* the troops home safely moreso then just constantly saying get them out without even realizing to do so with the conditions being what they are in Iraq that a higher percentage of men and women will die during the transition.

I love how people spout we shouldn't have been there in the first place. Look we are there and it would be extremely dangerous to announce to the world at large when we plan to pull them out.
When they do decided to start permanently bringing our troops home, I don't want them to say a thing about it to anyone accept among themselves. The world hears our prodcasts people.
So when they start pulling out, it should look like troops being sent home after their tour of duty, until we get down to a low enough number of troops that we can pull the rest out safely.
But we will always have a military presense there like we have in all countries.

I'm not a Bush supporter (hate the SOB) but I think pulling our troops out now would be utterly stupid. We'd leave the country in the hands of terrorist. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, no WMD's, and no ties to terror but now - thanks to Bush - it is one massive terrorist training camp. We made the mess we need to clean it up now instead of pulling out and having to go back in 10 to 20 years to do what we should be doing now. We pulled out before the job was done once why make the same mistake twice? That's just be stupid.

Seriously:
lets just pack up get out and come home. Leave Iraq to its fate. we left Vietnam to its fate and now it is one of the poorest nations in the Far East.
The Sunnis and shittes along with the terrorists would tear Iraq apart not to mention with it being so unstable it could start a middle east war. Involving Syria and Iran buying for power and control in Iraq.
The part that is really sickening: Is what about the other 50 Nations that have troops on the ground and fight along side the American soldier.
Are we Americans so dang arrogant that we forget about them.
But, lets go ahead and come home.
Then we can fight the war on our doorsteps. Why fight the terrorists and fanatics in Iraq when they can follow us home. We can just fight them here.
But, savings in money the Army will not have to travel abroad. We can set up battlefields east coast and the west coast. Hey, lets put one in Little Rock too. So, the terrorists have good hiding spots to plan their next attack on American citizens.
Be so much fun: Mommy: Why are the terrorists attacking and holding people hostage. Now, little jimmy: It is because political pressure got us out of Iraq and now they followed us here.
Oh I see mommy: Can I go to the park? No, little jimmy, remember what I said, the bad guys like to plant bombs in that park, Have you forgotten 10 kids got killed 6 months ago.
BREAKING NEWS: Terrorists drive a van full of explosives into Wal-Mart and kill 200 wounding 55 people.
YIP-PEE...lets come home

I am not a Bush supporter by any means. Yet, I agree that we cannot simply pull our troops out now. It's too late. We went in, removed what pi** poor working government they did have (Yes, I know Saddam was a tyrant!!), created mass chaos, civil war, more terrorist than ever, We cannot just leave the vulnerable innocent citizens to fend for them selves. They are in more danger now (unless you were Kurdish) then under SH.

The point is not Bush or Iraq. The point is the terrorists. There or here. I'm glad you're not making the choice for me.
I thank God we now have a President who will stand up for this Nation's protection. Have you been asleep...or perhaps you were too young to remember the Clinton administration?! That was a farcical attempt at running our Nation. Repeated incidents and threats by terrorists, failed attempts at stopping them, and refusal to take Bin Laden in when offered his surrender to the U.S. by Saudi Arabia. (Not to mention his personal disgraces to the office.)
Thank God for a strong and brave President. Pray for another one in 2008.
