Most cheese contains rennet which is obtained form the lining of a cow's stomach and therefore it it not vegetarian. However, there are some cheese which are vegetarian. I assume that these would be labelled as being suitable for vegetarians.

all precocessed chesse contain rennet, a non veg material. Only indian paneer ( cottage cheese) is pure vegetarian

i don't think that cheese contain non veg ingredient but however some of them may contain non-veg ingredients........so its better to check the ingredient before buying it..

Cheese is a dairy product. If you are an lacto-vegetarian it is fine. You can by cheese without rennet, check the label.
