Adderall's pharmacological name is Amphetimine, ring any bells? This along with Ritalin, are the only 2 legal forms of Speed I know of. My husband takes Adderall for ADD. Just like any other form of speed, it has side effects similar to methamphetimine. Insomnia, anxiety, feelings of euphoria and the ability to concentrate for any length of time, are some I have seen him experience. You must be careful to take only the prescribed dosage. These are highly addictive, but are very effective if used correctly. He too, liked them a lot, (see other answer). Make sure you don't take too many, and make sure your doctor monitors you closely. I don't reccommed them if you've an addictive personality.

Both my son and I have been on this medication. I was on it only a short time because I found myself liking it too much (not the XR as much as the immediate release, I tried both, but it was still an issue for me so I went off of it.)

My son, however, has been on it for several years and it makes a world of difference for him. It is night and day when he takes his meds and when he doesn't. He doesn't seem to have any side effects from it, he tolerates it quite well.
