The steps?
People have different ideas of whats a good kiss. There are no universal how to be a good kisser guidelines.

well except this one: Don't drool :)

Just practice practice. Ask whoever you're kissing if they like the way you kiss and ask what you can do to improve. But let me tell you not everyone will kiss the same. Everyone has their own preferences...

Hi. There are no real "steps". Each person has to evolve their own way of kissing that is natural for them. I would not worry about the heavy passionate kiss. That kind of thing just happens. But the smaller, more playful or gentle kisses can take some practice. Just remember, you don't need to do an immediate lip lock. Kiss lightly and release. Kiss again. Release, Try pulling his lower lipe toward you very lightly as you do pull back. Let the lips linger. This is all about the sensation of sharing your breath, your skin and your imagination. Nature will help with the rest.

First, you must part your lips to allow his tongue into your mouth and viceversa. Do a playful rolling of tongues with no rush. Slow becomes more intense and very pleasant. From time to time, suck gently on his lower lip, then retake his tongue and allow it to dance with yours. Could curl up your fingertips on the back of his neck to add some tenderness to the act of kissing.

Good luck.

take it slow, do not use teeth, only the tounge is to be used, it might be hard at first because it is a two way thing and each person has her or his way but as you go on you will both make a union of your skills
