In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

No he cannot be forgiven and the reason is that Angels have a higher form of intellect and understanding of why God created them, way above our human understanding, they also fully know the consequences of any action even as they make it, and so once an Angel makes a decision it is binding for all time.
we on the other hand being lower than the Angelic hosts are given to imperfect thought and easily make mistakes that God allows for, this is part of the reason why we have been given another chance of eternal life and why the fallen Angels have not.
satan knew well what he was doing when he challened God and in his pride thought that he was as great as God and this open rebellion was his real downfall.

No, there's no reason for us to pray for the devil to have a change of heart and be converted. The Bible makes it clear that Satan's doom is certain, and that someday he will be cast "into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matthew 25:41).
Never forget that Satan is absolutely opposed to God, and he always will be. This has been true since the beginning of time, when he rebelled against God and tried to take over God's position as Lord of the universe. All evil comes from him, and he will do everything he can to spew forth deception and death upon the earth. The Bible says that "there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies" (John 8:44).
No, we don't pray for Satan to repent—but the Bible does tell us to pray that he will be bound, and that those who follow him will be blocked from carrying out their evil schemes. We should pray this both for ourselves and our world. The Apostle Paul wrote, "Pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith" (2 Thessalonians 3:2).
The most important truth about Satan, however, is that he is a defeated foe, for by His death and resurrection Jesus Christ conquered Satan. Is your faith and trust in Christ?

in Islam, satan is know to be jalous from men, and arrogant.
he promised to God to take with him too many people to hell.
Also, God created him to mislead the wrong doers in their doings.
He was created for a reason, so his arrogance will push him to do so even if he believe in God.
Note: satan is the father of devils., like Adam is the father of mankind. satan was never an angel. angels are other creation from God.
Angels from Light.
Devils from Fire.
Mankind from Clay.

According to christians, if you pray for forgiveness and repent, then you shall recieve it. So if catholic priests can rape little boys and be forgiven why not the devil? All he did was try to replace god.

According to the book of Job ,Satan goes to heaven anytime he feels like it ," And one day the sons of God came to present themselves before the lord and SATAN CAME ALSO AMONG THEM, and the lord said unto Satan"Whence comest thou?" and Satan answered and said"From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it".

Satan refused to apologize, repent, and and ask forgiveness.
Whether or not he will ever do so is doubtful.
As for your idea that he is all around us, Satan is not omnipresent. He can only be in one place at one time.

No. He has sinned 'against the spirit' , directly against Almighty God.
Similarly with Adam and Eve and Judas Escariot.

No, there is no hope for any fallen angel. Jesus took the form of a man to pay for the sin of man. IN this way He qualified to save men from sin, not angels.
