If you want to be able to walk around at night, definitely go with Buckhead. There's some great nightspots there. And you can still reach everything else by Marta. If you can afford it, the Westin downtown is really nice and the street it's on has a lot of entertaining things to do at night. You just wouldn't want to leave that street because downtown Atlanta isn't very safe at night elsewhere.

I'm not sure what your budget is, but whether you stay in downtown, midtown or Buckhead, the hotels will run you atleast $100 per night. Sometimes you can find online deals (www.hotels.com) that may charge a little less $80-$90, but expect to shell out a lot if you want to stay near all the great attractions. If money is not an issue, I suggest the Westin Peachtree Plaza. It has a great view of the entire city and on the top floor, there's a restaurant (Sundial) that rotates 360 degrees.

Have fun when you come!

If you want to be able to walk around go to Buckhead. But just so you know, they are all very close to each other. And some parts of "midtown" really you woul djust think are considered downtown. But Buckhead has most of the hotels, restaurants and clubs. Good luck, have fun!

Midtown...Midtown...Midtown....You will be close to everything and can always jump on Marta if you want to go out to Buckhead. There is a very nice Residence Inn in Midtown...I highly recommend that. The aquarium is incredible, but get your tickets online in advance!

I recommend the Westin or Marriott Marquis in the heart of downtown. They are right by all the places you want to visit. And they are close to lots of downtown shopping and Underground Atlanta. Plus they are very nice hotels and more than likely, offer shuttle services.

nicely Buckhead isn't the occasion spot it was... maximum of this is been bulldozed right down to make room for upscale retail & eating places. fantastically lots in the section the place all the bars & golf equipment have been, all this is fantastically lots left is Fado's, this is in a clean area a block remote from the place they was, ESPN Zone, Cheesecake production unit, Nava (which has delicious mojitos & margaritas), Park Bench and East Andrews. different places in Buckhead that have a bar experience to them could be: Dantana's, Clubhouse and Twist. in case you are able to undertaking out to Atlantic Station, this is the hot "hip" place to pass or pass to the Virginia Highlands.
