rambunctious. Lately she has been crying ALOT. She cries when you leave her in a room and close the door, and cries when she is waiting for her food, etc. Any suggestions on why? (mainly why when you close doors)

She also wakes up and starts to play at exactly 5 am every morning, any ideas on how to stop her from waking up the whole house?

Kittens are rambunctious. They run, climb, like to play...it is there way of doing what people do at a gym...get exercise. It is important for developing muscles, reflexes, and bonding with their humans. She is doing this behavior now, because she feels more at home.

The reason she cries for your attention is that she wants your attention. By adopting a kitten, you have made yourself a mother figure. Kids want their mom's attention.

You can lick the crying for food bit by putting down a high quality kitten food and allowing the kitten to eat at will. This will save you from having to make constant trips to feed a little more. Contrary to what is popularly believed, cats don't overeat and get fat. They are underexercised when we bring them into our homes. Think about all the things cats do when they get to roam free and look around your house to see how much opportunity your kitten has to do just that.

I am all for keeping cats indoors. The outside has too many dangers, but you need to provide alternatives for exercise and mental stimulation for the cat. Give it an empty paper sack, a cardboard box, some small balls with bells or rattles in them. It needs to run and play and stimulate its mind.

In spite of all this information being correct, there is a thumbs down coming. Someone gives a thumbs down on everything I post, including one that simply posted a web link for information.

She sounds like she's getting used to her surrounds, that's why she's becoming more bold.

My cat is 6 years old, I've had her since she was about 7 weeks old. She cries for me every single night because I close my bedroom door (to keep out another cat that feels the need to pee on the carpet). So I get up and open the door and she sleeps with me for a while, then cries to get out.

She's just crying to get attention. It's like saying "hey, here I am".

I have a new kitten as well. She does the same thing. When I go to the restroom and shut the door, she cries and cries till I open the door, then she runs in. She hates it when the kids are in their room with the door closed. When I go out to get firewood she cries and when I come home from work and she hears the car she starts crying till I come in and pet her. I honestly think she is telling you off. It is a cat thing. I think that they think they are superior to mere humans. I have a squirt bottle and when our kitten is naughty I blast her on the nose and she meows at me like she is saying, "Piss off"

As a stray she was scared, hungry, and lonely. Now she have a home and love. She is happy and sings to you for food. And, not want to be alone, so, cries to you when you close a door. Listen very close and you can tell a difference in what she saying to you, it take time, but, you can learn.

She is feeling more comfortable. If she has siamese in her she will cry like that all the time. She cries when you close the doors because she wants to be near you, also cats think they have the right to go anywhere in your house, and believe me they will ex: kitchen counters, on top of the tv, dining room table.....If not around you then when you aren't home ha ha!!!

She finally got used to your house. I am going through the same thing (although my cat is mute for whatever reason, she still tries to meow). What she is doing right now is testing her boundaries. She is seeing what she can get away with, with you. As for closing doors, if she is an affectionate cat she wants to be with you. But if you want her to stop, the worse thing you can do is respond to her when she is crying (when you close doors) because you are giving her the attention she wants. Good luck!

Why are you closing the door on her? She is crying because she wants to be with you. I have a feeling she was quiet when you got her because she was taken away from her mom too early (as is common with kittens). Now she is "at that age" when kittens are normally rambunctious - it is a sign she's healthy and lively.

when she's waiting for her food she isn't crying she's saying "FEED ME! YAY FOOD! GIMME GIMME GIMMEEEEEE THAT YUMMY FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!"

1st, give her a break--she's a kitten. When she gets to be a cat, she'll be the same way. What you're seeing is animal instinct. She cries when you shut the door because "her human" has abandoned her. She wants to be with you and be able to see where you are.

of direction this is CRYING, this is TERRIFIED and specific ravenous! 5 WEEKS is merely too youthful to be remote from her mom--the undesirable infant desires the two her mom's milk or kitten formulation -- you may get it at a puppy keep. do no longer enable YOUR canine PLAY WITH THIS KITTEN! it is like letting a extreme-college baby play with a infant who can not even walk. positioned the kitten in some form of container with gentle towels, enable it have water to drink and attempt giving it somewhat of canine foodstuff mixed with heat water. (in case you feed your canine dry foodstuff, overwhelm the kibble.) Get some kitten chow ASAP and supply that to the kitty. this is the right age to consume some sturdy foodstuff, nonetheless fairly, this is too youthful to be remote from its mom. in case you enable it exterior this is going to die. this is purely a infant. you will could desire to get it wormed via a vet, too. All kittens are born with roundworms, and in case you don't get it dealt with, it will probable die. super duty you have taken on there. reliable success!

she probably feels "at home", that's why she is now expressive of her feelings. she cries mainly because she wants your attention, like when you leave her, she doesn't want to be alone. my cat used to do that when she was still alive, she cries when she sees me for the first time and keeps on "meowing", which bothers some people at home, hehe. but for me, it's just her way of showing affection for me. hey, she doesn't do that to the other people at home, it's just with me that matters to her if i'm around or not.
