Do you wake up about every two hours to go to the bathroom? Are you losing weight but not really trying? Is your mouth often dry? Do you feel sleepy after lunch if you have a dessert?

The weight loss and the 2 hour thing are the biggest indicators. If you someone tells you that your breath smells sweet that's a really big sign.

Getting a diabetic friend or coworker to take your glucose level was a great idea from an earlier post. And do drop in to see a doctor, diabetes is very common these days and they'll know just what to do.

I started going to the bathroom all the time then I started counting how many times it was 4 from the time i woke up at 6:30 to about 10 :00 that same morning. And during the night it was between 3 -5. What made me realize something was wrong was when I woke up at 3:30 for the 3 ed time one night and made myself an entire qt. of tea and Drank it. The next day I was watching ER and that was a story line, I went to my dr. 2 days later to get some stitches removed and asked for a blood test for Diabetes, they thought I was crazy then I told them everything that was going on. Sure enough my fasting blood sugar was 600. (it should be 80-120) So be safe and get it checked. Mine was type 1 and if I would of let it go on that could of been very dangerous

it is normal for a person to go to the bathroom up to 18 times a day... if you do this all the time whether your home or not makes a difference as well..if you are home when this happens i think you may just unconsiously think of the bathroom then you have to go..but if this happens at any pt during the day no matter where your at and you experience cold-sweats along with being thirsty and needing the restroom then i would probably contact a doctor... You just may be de-hydrated ..check the color of your urine if its a dark yellow drink a lot of water..

yes it could be, My brother was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes when he was 12, all of the sudden he started peeing in his bed at night, drinking 2 large 2L pop bottle sized waters if not more a day, and was always peeing during the day. I would go to your doctor, it might be nothing but it is better safe than sorry. If it is diabetes there are worse symptoms that might follow so go ASAP. When he was diagnosed they said we were lucky we brought him in when we did as he could have gone into a coma or anything if his levels went to crazy. Good luck!

All things are possible but not all things are probable and type 1 diabetes (which is more common than type 2 in your age group) generally presents with more than simply frequent urination. Most people know or are able to locate someone who is a diabetic and has a glucometer so simply take a fasting gluocose and if over 100 mg/dL (US) or 5.6 mmol/L (elsewhere) consult your physician. I assume that what you are describing is different from normal for you so if your glucose is normal consider having your urine checked.

It is possible. You might want to talk to your doc about that.
Also, this may sound a little bit ridiculous, but sometimes, when you think about it all the time, you make your body think you want to go to the bathroom.
The more you think that, I just drank coffee, I'll have to go to the bathroom, you almost make yourself go.
Nonetheless, talk to your dr.
