Well if you have had this cold for this long you may need to see a doctor, because it sounds like it is only getting worse, and with Flu season coming in you want to be very careful. Also pneumonia could set in and that could be very dangerous. So go on and make you a Doctors appointment before it gets worse ok.

I am guessing that the fact you suffered through a sinus infection without seeing a doctor that you are one without medical insurance. Try taking a cough medicine with an expectorant in it. It will loosen up the phlegm and remove it. You must take it every 4 hours faithfully. Also if you have a cold mist humidifier, use it as much as you can. IF you do not have a humidifier, turn on the hot water in your shower and sit in there 5-6 times a day, breathing in the steam. This will also help to loosen up the phlegm and help remove it. If you cannot lay down, or start coughing up blood in the phlegm, this is pneumonia, and you must get antibiotics. I hope this helps.

That's just the last symptom of your infection. It will last for a week or two. Try delsym a cough medicine that last 12 hrs. (you can get it from a drug store OTC). Or go to your doctor to get a prescription for cough medicine.

You could have a lower respiratory infection(bronchitis, pneumonia) since ur sinusitis...more like a spread lower downwards. I would suggest you see a GP and get some antibiotics.
