I don't want to connect laptop/computer to my TV, I said I want to have Hard Drive to be connected to TV, or any thing like that!

Depending on your computers video capabilities and your TV's inputs there are multiple ways to connect your computer to your TV. One of the best, and easiest, ways would be to get or if you have a video card with DVI out. If you have DVI input on your TV you are set, if you have an HDMI input on your TV you can buy a converter.

If your video card only has an S-video out you can use that. Video's will look okay, but text will be very blurry as this connection is not capable of high resolution.

In order to play an AVI, WMV, MOV, which are computer formats, you need a computer to play these formats. Tivos, Media Centers, DVR's....while we don't call them computers, they are really computers in a different case. They all have a hard drive, an operating system with software to play digitized movies in a computer format.

Hard drives cannot function on their own, unless there is software and operating system to access them.

For you, I would suggest a Media Center. Most computer companies sell media centers, which are compact and small desktop computers that are meant for home theater usage to record and play movie files. Shuttle makes the best ones, but they are a little spendy.

Contact your tv manufacturer for more information, if you want to find out more about it. That would be the best thing to do.
