To do a good chocolate fountain you need abt 500 Grams of chocolate so thats about 20 bars.

Its not really advisable to use regular chocolate bars, it said in the instructions of mine. Use Belgian chocolate, or look online for chocolate for fountains. It melts better, and is more runny so doesnt clog things up.

You can buy a special bag of chocolate designed to use in the chocolate fountain.The Thorntons one is lovely.You will probably need two bags because they are only small.This may be easier than using individual bars of chocolate.We've just tried the Thorntons one for my son's birthday and it's delicious!.

I think there's special begian chocolate for fountains but I guess bars would do... not that many though.. probably 15-20

My mum has got one of those, the instructions say you need 900 grams of chocolate, so that's one of those massive bars i think, maybe just a bit more!

you'll need about 5 lbs , not sure how many bars that would be because it depends on the size.
16 oz in a pound..so...the math should be easy as long as you know how many oz each bar is
