Punjab Institute of Cardiology, Lahore, Pakistan..where .150 operations are conducted. Mortality rate is less than 1%, and very good ICU care is there.
I myself has undergone CABG (Bypass) Surgery there on 2nd October, 2006, and total 8 operation were conducted on taht day by 4 teams of Doctors. All were fine normal and discharged from the hospital within 6-10 days.
Operation charges are also nominal, ranging from Rs. 40000 (US $700) for poor patients to Rs 250000 (US$4000) from wealthy patients. For really desrving patients all costs were borne by teh state.
