If you have sex during your period you can. But there will be a bit more friction. You will also be able to smell it. Its not that bad of a smell but its there. There will also be a big mess, so lay down a towel because the bed will get very messy. Your bf will also get a fair bit of period on him (he might get grossed out but he asked for it)
As for symptoms. it depends on the STD. Basically anything out of the ordinary. Redness, rash, bumps, sores, burning, discharge, pain. There are no noticeable symptoms of AIDS in the early stage. Make sure your partner is disease free by getting tested if you have unprotected sex. Insist on it or just wear a condom. But some of the worst diseases you can still get with condoms. Such as Herpes (incurable). 1/6 people have an STD all of them wished they didn't. Especially the incurable ones or the ones that kill you. Imagine trying to find a new bf if you had an incurable STD?

For the menstrual cycle, you simply say "baby I can't right now, it's that time of the month." As far as symptoms go, there are LOTS of symptoms for LOTS of different STDs. You can read up on them pretty much anywhere though. Type in STD SYMPTOMS in the yahoo search bar or something.

well, it's not the best idea to have sex when you've got your period, simply because you have an increased chance of contracting an STD, also, your vagina is at it's most sensitive during that time of the month, so it might not be very enjoyable. However, there's no rule to say that you can't do it, just make sure to use a condom (as always), and make sure that you are maintaining basic hygene before you and your boyfriend have sex. Hope that helps! :)

Tell your boyfriend to go masturbate if he wants to have sex and you don't. If you want to, it might be a little uncomfortable. It will be easier to contract an STD, but if you and your boyfriend are monogamist there shouldn't be a problem.

If you are on your period, and your boyfriend wants to have sex, it is ok. Just put a towel down, having sex on your period actually reduces the amount of bleeding.

Some people do it and some don't. Just do whatever you are comfortable with. If you don't want to then don't. But there's nothing wrong with experimenting. : )
