Yes, there isn't any. Herpes is caused by a virus. Actually, there is little cure for viruses nowadays. The only thing that you can generally do in the case of a viral infection is strengthen the immune system and hope it fights it off. Not with Herpes, the immune system can't win against it. Thus you only get to treat the symptoms. Once you're infected, it stays with you for life. So don't get infected.
Personal experience. I have had genital herpes for over 5 years.

Yes, it is true you can have herpes without having outbreaks. Some people never have an outbreak but can still infect others. Most people don't have an out break for months to years after contracting the disease. If you normally trust what he tells you and he's been honest with you in the past I would give him a break on this one he's probably telling you the truth. Hope this helps its a tough situation.

YIKES. Some people can contract genital herpes without their partner experiencing an outbreak and they can have it for up to a year without an outbreak. It's a very difficult thing to deal with, but yes, your significant other is correct. Your best bet is to get tested and hope for the best. Sorry to hear about that.

At the beginning of an infection with herpes, it will come out in an outbreak. This is unlike genital warts, which you could harbor close to forever infecting people all over the place and never know it. But herpes is a different disease. He HAD to of known he had it before he slept with you. There's no way herpes can hide in someone's body.

It's definitely possible to have herpes without having an outbreak or even have outbreaks that you never realized were outbreaks. There's also treatment that might decrease the number & severity of outbreaks although there's no cure.

Many people with Herpes never experience outbreaks while many others have frequent outbreaks. Regardless, it is still contagious to another person with or without an outbreak.

I think you can't spread if you you do not have and outbreak but even if has the begging signs of it then it could be just as bad if he didn't talk to you about this before you started having sex then that is a problem as well. You should be tested and it is a blood test and if you do not have then you should take the right measurments to stay safe.

No. Genital herpes is unfold whilst a man or woman is having a virus and in specific circumstances they do no longer even could have a virus yet he and his spouse has to have the two his and her or comparable intercourse companions genitals are touching like in intercourse. yet, herpes simplex that's a fever blister aka chilly sore would exchange into genital herpes in case you touch the chilly sore and the secretions are on your hands once you touch your genitals like wiping your self previous going to the bathing room. there is not any longer something extra effective than solid hand washing techniques.

It is possible to have and spread herpes without ever having an outbreak. I've heard that it has been dormant up to 15 years with no outbreak.
But if you have reasons other than this to suspect him of having sex with other people he prob. is.

absolutely! There is a wealth of info on the web. According to the CDC, you can be tested: Sex partners of infected persons should be advised that they may become infected. Sex partners can seek testing to determine if they are infected with HSV. A positive HSV-2 blood test most likely indicates a genital herpes infection.
