Don't worry. There are tons of different strains of HPV. Many people carry some but don't know it. Some strains cause warts, but not all, Some cause cervical cancer so make sure you get a pap test every year to make sure there are no changes. It won't make your heart beat fast. You are just worried. Just relax. Call your doctor if you have any questions.

The swollen glands can be from many different reasons, however if they are tender or painful you really need to have it check by your doctor. Them medication will not cause swollen glands and your elevated heart rate is most likely due to a panick attack. HPV is what they call "the common cold of STDs" There are several strands of HPV. If you have the high-risk HPV then it can/could cause Cervical Cancer or Pre-Cancer cells. If you have the Low-risk HPV then it could cause an out break of genital warts. These can be freezed off if they become a problem. You don't always have a physical out break of (warts). This means you are a carrier for the HPV. With a health immune system, your body will build up an immunity to the HPV virus and it will suppress it. Talk with your doctor and get the scoop on it. There are alot of websites out there with the information as well.
