The condition that you describe is called Peripheral Neuropathy and the numbness is caused by a dying of the nerves in the feet. This generally occurs because of a lack of blood flow according to Dr Dellon (Chicago) who has performed literally thousands of surgeries to assist with this condition. There are also a number of herbal answers to the condition out there that insurance WILL NOT pay for. The medical community tells us that good control of sugars is the best answer that they can give. I have had the condition for MANY years. I have been diabetic since Oct 1966 also. Have a great wee. I wish you the best. Continue to read and study the condition

My mother was a diabetic, so i´ve been there, what i can tell you is that diabetes, for some reason i don´t know affects the peripheral blood circulation, on the tip of the limbs like hands and feet, in such a way that you may indeed get that feeling of numbness. Other symptoms of diabetes related to circulatory issues are: Impotence (male), weak healing system for cuts and bruises. Just put your legs up and you shall feel relieved, and of course, be careful with cuts and bruises. Best regards, Gabriel.

i thought numbness in diabetes is cause by the damage of the nerves cell, not the blood cell.
