Edit: Acording to Wikipedia the warts i had are called "Common warts" the wart on my big toe i should add was on the top not on the preasure points of the foot so it wasnt "Plantars warts" and all warts are caused by HPV

The HPV that causes warts on your hands and feet is different from the HPV that causes genital warts. So, no, you won't give a girl genital warts. Unless, of course, you're infected with genital HPV. The problem is that there are no real symptoms in men, other than the actual genital warts. There are some strains of HPV that don't show any outward symptoms.

As far as condom use goes, condoms are great for preventing HIV and pregnancy, but they don't necessarily work for preventing HPV. Your best bet is to practice abstinence, but if you must have sex, use a condom. In fact, the CDC is recommending that you change condoms in between sexual acts - so maybe one condom for oral sex, then a new one for vaginal sex. Good luck to you.

As others have answered, finger/foot warts, etc are not genital warts & won't be transmitted through sex.

Contrary to other posters though, HPV can stay in your body forever. Some people are able to "clear" the infection, but that's pretty rare.

If you're infected with genital warts, chances are you will always carry the virus. (Although it may not produce actual warts.)

There is no cure for genital warts, only treatments that can get rid of individual warts.

Lastly, HPV is a huge family of viruses that can cause warts - including genital, finger, plantar warts, etc.

The warts you get on foot and thumb are plantar warts. These are NOT at all related to HPV. And by the way, HPV does NOT necesarily stay in your body forever.

No, HPV does not stay in your body forever. I thought the same thing but my doctor told me it can go away after treatment. You are fine.

Hi - the answer is NO - But Why ask?? You should be practising safe sex and using a condom then you nor she could catch anything including a baby etc......

Sorry if I seem harsh but I see too many people catch things and if they used protection it wouldn't happen.
