I'm having rhinoplasty along with sinus surgery and a septum straightening surgery. I want to know how long before I'm functioning again.

It can depend on a number of things, such as your over all health being good, if you have any medical conditions, and how well you recover from the anaesthetic.

My hubby had the same operation, but as he is a diabetic, they had to take extra precautions. He was fairly miserable for the first day, but picked up fairly quickly after that.

It usually takes about a week to fully recover, and can go back to work. But you must be guided by your doctor, and how you feel.

You may get black eyes too, my hubby had panda eyes, and was not terribly keen on going out for a week.

Good luck

I have had the same surgery. I was up and about and back to work in 3 days this really is not a big thing as long as your health is good. I do not know if your doctor has told you this yet mine never did scared the poo out of me!!! vomiting blood in small amounts is OK last about 2 weeks if you have a lot of drainage depends on how extensive the surgery is, or have a sensitive stomach like I do.

Rhinoplasty surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
