well if it's an all-girls' party, then go all out! have a sleepover party, like that movie sleepover? you can play scavenger hunt, watch chick flicks, paint your toenails red, wear your mom's clothes( if she\ll let you or just play dress-up) and go to a make-believe "bar" where 14-year-olds are allowed and non-alcoholic beverages are served!
have fun! you're not 14 everyday. happy birthday!

I know you say you don't want a really girly one but here are a few ideas for some themes:
1. Hollywood "It" girl party, everyone comes dressed as an actress.
2. Pre Prom party, since you are only 14 you haven't had your prom yet, so have everyone come dressed up for the prom.
3. Rockstar/Rapper party: Everyone comes dressed as there favorite Rapper, or Rockstar.
4. Spa party, everyone comes on bathrobes and you can do makeovers, manicures, pedicures, etc.
As for games, you could do trivia games, you could even write the questions so they fit your age group. And for food, I would ask my friends what foods they love and hate, and then just get whatever suits everyone, including yourself! Hope this helped out. Happy Birthday!

The 70's party idea from another question sounds fun...I don't think it would be too childish (I have a 14 yr old son, he says it wouldn't be bad--but of course he's a boy). Get some ideas at this site:

I don't know where you are located but I have a niece about to turn 14 too. I always send her these gourmet cookies that are out of this world (they are baked fresh to order and shipped to your door nationwide within 24 hours. They are a little pricey but they are the best and my niece and nephew literally fight over them! They are always a hit (as a matter of fact my nephew asked me send him the cookies AS his birthday present last year).
They are made in Los Angeles (Hollywood area) and are REALLY popular (ordered regularly and shipped to the sets of popular shows and also to a "who's who list of the Holly crowd.
Check it out - there is a menu on line where you can pick up to 4 different cookies per dozen to have baked for you and shipped fresh. They use super premium ingredients.

Happy 14th!
Oh, and as far as the main corse goes, PIZZA for sure!
Activities ~ Last year my niece went with her friends to one of those places with a race track (where you race your friends in real miniture race cars) and games. They had a blast!
Then there is the girl thing where you all go for manicures, pedicures and hair styles.
Last, anther freind of mine has a daughter that just turned 14 and they pitched a tent and camped outside and had pizzas delivered - they had great time.

Ice cream punch is the best... put some kind of sherbert ice cream in a punch bowl with seven up and cranberry juice! It's really good! Hope you have a great party!

I had a party at a roller skating rink once. That was a lot of fun. Hell i'd do it again and I'm 26.
If that doesn't work, cake and ice cream is fun, but I definetly recoment one of those games where you have to shout a lot. Shouting is great for elevating your mood
