You need to take your medication. Pleurisy is the inflammation of your pleura which is caused by irritation...this can result from an underlying problem. Failure to take your medication will make your condition worse. You need to take the necessary steps to take control of your health, by reading up on the condition and finding ways that you can prevent further complications. Good Luck.

Pleurisy is just fluid build up in your pleural space, that's the small space between you chest wall and your lung, it will go away eventually or if it gets worse then physician will drain it with a thorocotomy needle. Most times it just heals on its own. The medicine you have is most likely for the pain. I wouldn't stress out over this, if it was bad you would be in the hospital with a chest tube.

Meh. Pleurisy is a self-limiting disease. The medication you were prescribed is probably an anti-inflammatory pain reliever like ibuprofen. It's just to help the pain and won't really influence the course of the disease, which typically subsides over a week or two.
