The first week when I got my cathrater out, the urine was coming excelent but as time went by, the flow seem to be not so good. Now I am still getting up 2 or 3 time a night and urinating every hour and sometime less. What could cause the bladder to be week after the surgery?

you should see the doctor. i'm not sure what type of prostate surgery you recieved, but, unless you completely removed it, your remaining prostate could be enlarged due to an infection. according to your symptoms, it seems like your bladder is not fully emptying due to some blockage or obstruction either in your urethra or in your ureters. either way, you should go see a doctor as soon as possible.

I understand that sometimes the swelling in this area takes quite some time to return to normal. Make sure that there is no blood in the urine and that you are able to regularly urinate. That is VITAL!! Contact the office doctor that did your surgery and ask him/her about the flow rate at this time and see what they think. It is their specialty, they should not steer you wrong!

You should definitely see your doctor. This feeling is not uncommon since your prostate lies directly beneath your bladder. You could have inflammation in your prostate area which happens often when an area is disturbed, it is also possibly a symptom from an infection.
