I want to join the Officer Training Corps at my university, but I have ashtma. I have had it for 10 years, been a national athlete, and never had an attack. It is well controlled, and I am in otherwise excellent health. But apparently I cannot join. Why is this? Can I join any other military programs?

Unfortunately, it is a medical fact that there are lots of things you cannot do when you have asthma, I know this, because I too suffer from it

The easiest way to find out is to ring your nearest recruitment centre and ask. Find your centre on the web.
