What is the difference? Do the colors show a sign of infection? Should I see a doctor, or wait it out?

Definitely see a doctor. It could be an infection so you want to try to get help for it before it turns into something serious. Hope this helped!

You need to see the doc as the brown phlegm probably indicates old blood and the green indicates a probable infection. See the doc today and get this checked out.

That's definitely a sign that you have an infection once the phlegm is green you need an antibiotic.

Maybe you need a TB test. Yes colored mucus indicates infection.

You probably have bronchitus.
Yes, you should see a doctor, for without treatement it will just get worse, and i'm sure you don't want pneumonia.

green is more from a cold and brown no telling on that one. do you smoke?
