food origami.?

Question

In japan people make food art like origami what is that called?

Example: They peel skin of tomato's & make it into roses....

Not just in japan my friend. I work in the food business and I create different garnishes every day. Its fun and easy. It can be as simple as a scallion flower and a tomato rose all the way to carved melons and pulled sugar. The important thing is to keep it fun. And yes it does take practice, but don't give up. Soon the Japanese people you speak of will have nothing on you!!!
