Will one be able to use it on their own without doctor's help?

The device you are talking about is a glucometer. Currently there are no bloodless glucometers on the market although there is one is development. I can't speculate as to the possible usefulness or accuracy of such a device. Glucose is in the blood and glucometers measure blood glucose and I don't see how this can be measured without blood.

Once again "bmac" is off track. The question about usability without a doctor concerns a bloodless glucometer and not the currently marketed ones. I can't help but wonder if he actually reads the questions before he answers them.

There is however a bloodless glucometer watch you can use between blood testing. It's called a GlucoWatch. You need a prescription for it. It uses an electrical impulse through the skin on your arm to monitor your sugars through the day or night. It's a great tool if you need more constant monitoring.

No, that is how you have to check it---it's a blood sugar test, so you have to test the blood. Of course you can use it without a doctor. Millions of people have diabetes and check their blood sugar several times a day.

i'm afraid you have your dates incorrect. It replaced into in certainty invented in 1895 by using the prophetically named Mr. Time customer. As to transforming into commercially practicable, as all of us understand the secrets and strategies of the gadget have been lost irretrivably whilst the aforementioned Mr. customer took it out for a spin, with the purpose to talk, and neglected to return. regrettably as a result, until somebody else discovers its secrets and strategies, which seems no longer likely considering over the final century no person has succeeded in so doing, i could saty that factor return and forth is for the present commercially unviable. do no longer purchase shares interior the Time return and forth employer Ltd only yet!

Requires a very small blood sample, but Wal-Mart ReliOn is one of the better values:

Yes - you can self test your urine with diastix urine strips - you don't get so obsessed with taking measurementsall the time, you only need to do it two times a day and you can get them on prescription.
