My dad is 58 years old. During a routine physcial he was noted to have abnormal cholesterol levels, borderline cardiomegaly, bradycardia, and calcified aorta. I work in a hospital as a transcriptionist and my mother works as a billing clerk there also. We are from a rural area in Texas and have no insurance and are on a limited income. I was just wondering if cardiologists will see patients that have no insurance?

Your best bet is to contact the cardiologists in your area and ask them what their policy is. Many physicians have sliding fee schedule to help out their cash paying patients. (Based on income and ability to pay). Of course all physicians accept cash but would likely require payment at time of service unless prior arrangements have been made.

Does your dad qualify for Medicaid? (In California it's called Medi-Cal... Massachusetts it's Medicaid... don't know what other states call it -- it's the state medical aide... not medicare)

Your Dad needs to invest in health insurance. Apparently, he knows that health is an important issue, otherwise, he wouldn't be having "routine" physicals. If your Mother and yourself work in a Hospital, do they offer a medical plan, if they do then it would behoove you to get a family policy so that everyone is covered.
Check with the Hospitals' HR Dept. about available coverage.

when a doctor is in his redicency he is sworn to protect the health of all humanity.
