I've used cream with that having no effect. They have started to get hard, so I'm wondering if that has to do with anything. (they can go away on their own too, actually.)

Also, I don't have health insurance. Lasering/freezing costs alot of money. I'm trying homeopathic methods to get rid of them. Sorry to be difficult, but I just want to know about warts getting hard before they start to get small and dissppear. Thanks

Genital warts are the most common sexually transmitted disease (STD) in the general population. It is estimated that 1% of sexually active people between the ages of 18 and 45 have genital warts; however, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing indicates that as many as 40% of sexually active adults carry the human papillomavirus (HPV) that causes genital warts.

Genital warts vary somewhat in appearance. They may be either flat or resemble raspberries or cauliflower in appearance. The warts begin as small red or pink growths and grow as large as four inches across, interfering with intercourse and childbirth. The warts grow in the moist tissues of the genital areas. In women, they occur on the external genitals and on the walls of the vagina and cervix; in men, they develop in the urethra and on the shaft of the penis. The warts then spread to the area behind the genitals surrounding the anus.

Treatment:

Condylox is the first ever FDA approved gel that treats genital warts. The active ingredients in Condylox get right to the problem and start treating your genital warts immediately. Condylox Gel 0.5% or Solution 0.5% is indicated for the topical treatment of anogenital warts (external genital warts and perianal warts).

Use it exactly as the doctor prescribed it. Condylox is to be applied twice each day for 3 consecutive days, followed by 4 days without treatment. It is recommended that no more than 10 cm of wart tissue and no more than 0.5 ml of the solution should be used in a day. This cycle is repeated at weekly intervals for a maximum of 4 weeks.

Try a fee clinic in your area. Many of them do STD testing/treatment for free or for a very low cost. I would stay away from the creams, I hear they're messy and take a while to work. I'd recommend asking for them to frozen or burned off. I know this sounds horrible, but its really not. My best friend had some frozen off and said she couldn't even feel it. Another friend of mine had some burned off. Basically what they do is apply an acetic (I think) acid to them. She says it burned a little bit but wasn't too bad. If the warts are bigger or stubborn, surgery may be your best way to go. Usually it's just done in an outpatient style, they just give you a local and use electrocautery to remove them.

They don't go away on their own. See your gyno to have them lasered or frozen off- really, as they can turn into cancerous growths. Peace and good luck.

I agree with what was said before...I would go to your doctor and get them treated. They will go away a lot faster that way.
