Why is a donner kebab called a "donner" and why is a shish kebab called a "shish"?

Right this is for all you muppets saying "because thats what its called" or "why is tree called tree or why is called,called called" etc bla bla bla!

I thought that someone would know this answer as it may be common knowledge in a way.as in people from where kebabs originated would know the answer.and it turns out there are a few people who seem to know.

dont have a clue about donner,it's worth enjoying this without wondering too much about it's origin,the shish however is the metal skewer on which the kebab is threaded ,so the resultant kebeb is called a shish kebab.
