....huh? Guessing you're a smoker trying to find some justification for your addiction. No, there's nothing specifically that you only get by smoking. But being this restrictive is like trying to prove that poison ivy isn't all that bad for you since you get rashes from other things too, so hey, might as well go roll around naked in the stuff anyway! After all... you're going to die. No matter what you do. What does it matter that if you smoke, you have a pretty good shot of dying of cancer at 40, or living with the traditional "smoker's diseases" at 55 on oxygen. Yes, they're not exclusive to smoking, but show a doctor someone with their vocal cords removed due to cancer, or emphysema, and they WILL think "smoker". And 99% of the time, they'll be right. So, yeah, maybe you could develop emphysema from working in a coal mine and breathing those particles for 40 years... but it's nearly always smokers.

Smoking causes other diseases in addition to respiratory diseases. Eye disease, blindness, and bladder cancer are among these. See the web sites below. You can do searches on "smoking, eye disease,' "smoking, bladder cancer", "smoking, heart disease."
