Trusting again takes a long time. I think the secret is moving very slowly when getting to know someone else. This happened to me also. It took years and years, and I felt I had a license to flirt with other men even when I was involved with someone becasue I justified it as, "Well, men do it!" Wrong idea though. So, take your time and while you can't blame a new guy for an ex's mistake, you are a lot wiser than you were before. You will be more careful and protect your heart and life. Yes. Since your boyfriend slept with someone else you need to be checked because there is no telling what that other person had, or if that other person had anything at all, but it's good to be on the safe side when it comes to STD's. I wish you luck.

Yes you should hun. You honestly don't know if he use any protection with that girl and you don't know if she has anything and could have gave it to him even if there have been no signs that your ex-boyfriend or you have anything since he cheated on you.

why not? it never hurts to do it, you are there. it will put away any questions. I think people should be tested often, especially between relationship of infidelity
