I'm going to find a way to genetically alter pigs so that they can be blessed and turned into Kosher hams, that way everyone will be able to enjoy the other white meat! What do you think about that? I'll make a fortune!

LMAO!

Listen, try walking to a deli near a jewish area....you see ham being bought left and right, but always on the sneak and never when another jew is the store.

Kosher ham, thats a good one. I want to be around when the sign is hung on the store.

The real reason for the ban on pork is the nature of pigs to lie in the mud. They caught trichnae worms easily which infected humans when eaten (uncooked pork). Therefore, it was a good practice to ban pork in the ld testament. Later, the risks were known and the gentiles eat pork regularly with little problem. Old habits are hard to kill, esp when in religious law.

Therefore your breeding program is useless...you need to change the old testament.

Pigs are not Kosher, no matter how you alter them.
I grew up Jewish, and my grandparents kept Kosher, so I kept kosher and never ate pork when I visited them. If you keep Kosher, you do not eat pork. Period.
I do eat pork, but I've never been too religious.
My parents ate everything, and because of travel, I am an omnivore now.

Genetically modified is not kosher either. Sorry. Stick with turkey bacon, etc.

Peace!

I somehow don't think that's an issue you can resolve with genetic altering.
