When I say work its way across your chest I'm refering to the plueurisy moving across the lungs of course. Not affecting one given area butt starting say on or near the right shoulder and recovery comes once its made its way across and clears up ending near the left shoulder or side. Or is it possible that you can suffer both ways?

I do not believe that this is possible. Pleurisy is an inflammation of the sac covering the lungs and the vast majority of the time it represents an incorrect diagnosis. In addition - the pleuritic inflammation is 'trapped' on a given side of the chest so it is not able to work its way across. If is possible - however - to have pleurisy on both sides of the chest - but again - pleurisy in general and bilateral (right and left) pleurisy at the same time is rare.
