Wow. Don't you think you should see a doctor?

This could be your heart, or it could be an issue with your left lung or some skeletalmuscular issue (ribs in the area).

If it gets bad, go to the emergency room. Then can run some relatively quick tests to figure out if its a true heart attack or if you have a pulmonary embolism (PE). Do you take oral contraceptives? Some have an increased risk of PEs.

At any rate, you should schedule an apt with your normal doc, and if it gets worse, go to the ER. The lab tests take about an hour to come back and they'll probably want to give you a chest X Ray and a CT scan. They dont hurt. Just do it.

Ryan

Statistically it is most likely that you do not have a heart problem. We average about 100 000 heart beats daily and even if we are 99% perfect thousands of peculiar heart beats occur every day and this is quite normal. The heart may beat early, late, or skip a beat. The heart beat may be soft or harder than usual. Once we begin to pay attention every heart beat that is not perfect scares us but again this is normal. Deal with the stress you are under and if this continues ask your doctor to run an electrocardiogram and a holter monitor.
