I know that if its something life threatening like HIV, there has been litigation brought forth for "attempted murder" against a guy who had HIV and knowingly spread it to others.

But for the run-of-the-mill type stuff, you're out of luck. Go see a doc, get treated, and get on with your life.

Ryan

To my knowledge there is no law which covers this unless your life has been jeopardized - such as with HIV. I understand the breach of trust, frustration, and anger but our legal system is based upon recovering money for 'harm done' and emotional harm is not taken into account. If the STD cost you $150 plus lost time from work it will not add up to $300 and no attorney will take a case for less than that. The only exception might be an attorney who does public defender or pro bono work but such are rare. Sorry. Better luck with the next girlfriend.

Sorry, but I'd have to go with a no on this one.You would have to prove that it was given through malicious intent and I seriously doubt you could find any evidence that someone purposely gave you an std through consensual sexual intercourse during a relationship. And even if there was any evidence it is probably long gone by now.

You are screwed...sorry, no pun intended. There is little chance of proving that she knew she had a STD...HIPPA Laws will not allow you access to her medical records, so even IF she knew it...you can't prove it...next time wear a condom....especially if you know the person has been around the block a few times...better safe than sorry.

Sometimes, sometimes not. The only way you can ever have a case is if she knew that she had the STD and knew that she could pass it to you before intercourse. Even then, maybe not. Like someone said, assumption of risk. If you do it, suffer the consequences. Sorry man, it sucks.

The only STD criminally punishable (last time I looked), was HIV.

No, they can't prove who gives what to who. They wouldn't even be able to tell which one of you had it first unless you both got tested before sex and you didn't have it and she did.
So even if you were faithful and she was not there's just no way to prove you never slept with anyone before during or after you were with her who could have given it to you unless you were both tested prior to sleeping together and you were negative and she wasn't.

if it is something that there is no cure for and you can prove that she is the one that gave it to you then maybe. but that would be more of a cival matter not a criminal. the hard part would be proving you got it from her and not someone else and you would also have to prove that she knowingly put you at risk..i have only heard of this in cases like hiv or herpes.Good Luck!

problematical case to educate, they could say you gave it to them. continually use a condom in he destiny, no remember who it really is. carry a field with you and continually use them. the way everyone looks available now you by no ability comprehend what to assume. in case you truly pick to pursue this communicate with an lawyer. some lawyer consultations are free.

I think the only thing you could do is if she had sex with you and knows that she has an STD
