If I were you stay in LA and have a great life. New York is too rowdy to be. If the job offer is a little bit higher than LA then consider the offer but not if they have the same conditions.

It depends on what your interests are. I lived in LA (area) for a while. I think I would try NY for a change.

I'm from the East Coast and I live in LA.
LA has a lot more culture than NY.
NY is open 24/7.
If you like seasons, choose NY.
If you like mild weather, choose LA.
LA is easy to drive in.
NY has easily available public transportation.
Both are expernsive.
NY is heavily rent controlled.
LA is not.

L.A all the way. We have everything here, beaches, deserts, mountains with snow in the winter, traffic, great Mexican food, good weather most of the year and smog. So Cal is like one big city with everything in it.

Well well well. . .I read somewhere a person saying that in NY people are too in a hurry and stressed out whereas in LA they're more quiet and tranquil

New York.... I've never seen so much smog in my life when I lived in SoCal. You can barely see the Hollywood sign on most days. It's just hazy. Plus the traffic... and the drivers..... mudslides.... wildfires..... earthquakes..... It's rainy outside and everyone on the road freaks out over a little rain because they're only used to 76 degrees and sunny.

Definitely NY where the people are real. Crazy, but real. LA lives up to its reputation as a bunch of fakes.

The air in Los Angeles is SO BAD, it more than makes up for the nicer weather. Given the choice, I'd rather live almost ANYWHERE than LA.
NYC is the winner.
