What a silly question. A Taco Bell taco is waaaayyy better than a Mexican taco. In fact Mexicans look to Taco Bell menus for true Mexican recipes not only to reconnect them with the long since forgotten savory treats of their past lost when crossing the Rio Grande (i.e. the Crunch Wrap Supreme), but also as the main source of adequate levels of vitamins and minerals that only a pre-formed taco shell and 80% soy meat can provide. So, is a Taco Bell taco as good as a Mexican taco? Heck no.The Bell's tacos are the pinacle of Mexican cuisine, better than any taco made in, by or around Mexico or any Mexican. Unless, of couse, a Mexican makes you a taco at Taco Bell.

Except for the general appearance, there is no similarity at all.

In Mexico, they use something called "meat", and the tortillas are made with "corn" or "wheat" and actually taste like their components!

Go figure!

I should tell you that Mexicans often love taco bell and find our "take" on their food amusing and tasty. It is often one of the first stops a Mexican tourist will make, and the menu is a complete mystery.

Remember "Gordita"? The word literally translates "Little Fat Girl". I recall being at a loss when asked why anyone would name a lunch item this... Still don't have an explanation.

Best wishes!

Well for some it can be. A lot of Mexican people, though make their tacos with shredded meat and not hamburger. For me, that makes it a lot better. Many of us also fry up our own shells instead of the crunchy dry ones in a box or at taco bell.

In simple form, it is up to your taste. However, a taco bell taco is in no way an authentic mexican taco. A Mexican taco is a soft corn tortilla sauteed breifly in oil to make soft, filled with your choice of carnitas; typically pulled pork, bef, or chicken(similar to the meats served at Chipotle). They are then topped with choice of lettece, cheese, etc. In reality, very little of any chain mexican restaurants have authentic

nope, because here you have to get it very commercial like to be sold.
I mean an American person wouldn't like eating a real taco as the one sold in Mexico, and not because they are bad or anything but because they are not sold in a paper bag or covered with wax paper as the one you get here.

No, It's always great to try the authentic version of ethnic food. I still remember the first pizza I had in Italy.... Wow, I'd never call the thing they sell in pizza joint a pizza again.
