How about a Toy Story party? Your son can have Buzz and Woody, yoru DD can have Little Bo Peep and Jessie the Cowgirl.
Or just do Princesses for her and Buzz Lightyear or Mickey Mouse for him.
Have 2 separate cakes, though.

I don't think they use tickets anymore. The only advise I can give is to go online and look at various pics of the various Disney parks. Pick out some nice but EASY shots. I would then take those shots and make posters to decorate.
If you have some time, you can always go online and request park information. Park information is usually in the form of a magazine type pamphlet - that can also be a source of ideas for the season.
Disneyland Paris used to have a Pooh stage near the castle. If you look at that particular site you may be able to get a photo of it and make an invitation out of that.

the one i had had micky mouse fantasia style on the front. I have ordered alot of inexpensive suff from ABCdistributers.com. they are great.
the design goes up and down instead of side to side (length) so your good there. Do one side the ticket stub, and the other your admission info.
for the party you can turn a room or yard into a disney adventure theme (wild animal kingdom) or even a palace... choose the four year olds favorite.

Hi, here's a website that sells ticket invitations if you want to copy similar style. maybe you could do a faded castle in the background w/ a disney characters next to each one of their names.

I think the next link has a ticket invite that looks more appropriate for kids party even though it doesn't look like the real one~ it is cuter.

find an ebay auction for the ticket photo and copy ... get big refrigerator and appliance boxes to paint and assemble for backdrops, freestanding buildings...be sure to pipe in Disney music for all to hear. twinkle lights, sparklers, and go to Disney.com for other ideas. Check out cake designs online for Cinderella or Pooh designs. Roll out the red carpet..

maybe you could try the disneyland castle... and two much smaller cakes with pooh or cinderella... or find figurines of both and put them on the castle... as if you were being greeted at disney world.
