You could but I prefer to coat my chips with olive oil, salt and pepper and then cook them in the oven

You can cook them in any oil, and they will taste fine (i don't suggest sesame though!), but I do think they taste better cooked in Lard - unhealthy, but hey its in the taste.

I have never tried it, but it is supposed to be a good oil. I think it would be expensive for chips though.

Yes. Here`s a tip, add a little vanilla extract to the oil, it makes them brown better . You don`t taste the vanilla.

Yes.....not a problem...with any cooking oil change it regurarly as some of the components become quite toxic.

You can cook them in anything. (oil wise) I prefer groundnut.
Fry them partially. Let them cool (out of the oil) then refry for remaining time.
Makes them lovely.

yes you can but they dont taste as good as chips fried in beef dripping...mmmmmmmmmmm...but not healthy
