No there is no way of checking bp without a cuff. If you where walking around or doing anything even stress can raise bp.It all depends what you where doing. I wouldn't worry about it unless it stays at 143/94 then I would talk to your doc. And feeling bad also raises bp. Good Luck

Don't know of any other way to check except for cuff. Exercise (sneezing counts) can raise your blood pressure. The meds might do it too, but hopefully it was relatively temporary.

yes! sure could. your age is a factor too and weight. if it keeps running this high, you really need to let your doctor know. check it again later. the cuff is a must, this supplies the pressure needed to measure the pressure of the blood. sorry. other things that can cause blood pressure to rise is pain, stress, nasal decongestants, diet pills. i could go on and on. hydrate yourself with some water if u haven't already.

Your blood pressure varies up and down during the day. Any of the things you mention, plus about a million other things, can cause a temporary spike in blood pressure. Nothing at all to worry about.

Yes, I think the Benadryl has a lot to do with this elevation of bp. I don't think it's anything to be concerned about.

Blood pressure is not designed to remain constant. Certainly, you blood pressure could have been escalated by Benadryl. Also, if you ate salty foods, or were under unusual stress. Please contact me if you want to work this through.

Don't worry. It could be high as you are not well. It could happen due to excitement, tiredness and other causes. Next time you feel better, take 2-3 measurement and it should come fine.
