Incubation period: For oral herpes, the amount of time between contact with the virus and the appearance of symptoms, the incubation period, is 2-12 days. Most people average about 4 days.
Duration of illness: Signs and symptoms will last 2-3 weeks. Fever, tiredness, muscle aches, and irritability may occur.
Pain, burning, tingling, or itching occurs at the infection site before the sores appear. Then clusters of blisters erupt. These blisters break down rapidly and, when seen, appear as tiny, shallow, gray ulcers on a red base. A few days later, they become crusted or scabbed and appear drier and more yellow
Oral sores: The most intense pain caused by these sores occurs at the onset and make eating and drinking difficult.
The sores may occur on the lips, the gums, the front of the tongue, the inside of the cheeks, the throat, and the roof of the mouth.
They may also extend down the chin and neck.
The gums may become mildly swollen and red and may bleed.
Neck lymph nodes often swell and become painful.
In people in their teens and 20s, herpes may cause a painful throat with shallow ulcers and a grayish coating on the tonsils.

I got identified with herpes virus (type 2) about three yrs ago, whilst I was still attending college and had a foolish one-night stand. I realize a lot of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores round her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/HPFHP everything improved.
Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the herpes virus from my system in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just a week ago, in front of everybody in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This system gave me back the opportunity to be happy and experience real love again. Now I hope that I can help others by sharing this story.

Herpes Simplex: Overview
Herpes Simplex
Herpes simplex virus causes a skin infection that is recurrent and cannot be permanently cured. The virus is of two types commonly referred to as HSV1 and HSV2. Herpes causes blisters and sores. After an initial attack, it may recur again after some months or years. Anybody can get this infection and it spreads by body contact. Herpes simplex virus remains dormant in the body forever and flares up for some reasons. Herpes virus causes two kinds of infections- oral herpes also called as cold sores or fever blisters and genital herpes.
As this infection is fairly widespread, especially in sexually active individuals, it is important that you understand more about it and know how to prevent it. The common sites that get affected are lips (cold sores) and genital area (genital herpes). Both the viruses can affect lips and genital areas. But virus type 2 rarely causes active sores in the oral area while virus type 1 can cause herpes in the genital area. People carry many misconceptions about herpes. Let us find out more about Cold Sores and Genital Herpes.

There are four types of herpes The first is genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by the herpes simplex viruses type 1 (HSV-1) or type 2 (HSV-2). Most genital herpes is caused by HSV-2. Most individuals have no or only minimal signs or symptoms from HSV-1 or HSV-2 infection. When signs do occur, they typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur. Typically, another outbreak can appear weeks or months after the first, but it almost always is less severe and shorter than the first outbreak. Although the infection can stay in the body indefinitely, the number of outbreaks tends to decrease over a period of years. The second you don't hear called herpes is from herpes simplex viruses type 1 (HSV-1) and is a cold sore on your mouth (or in your case what is on your throat). Takes about two to four weeks to show. This version can be given on either the mouth or genital region. The other two are Ocular herpes known as herpes keratitis.herpes from HSV-1 (its in the eye) the other is Neonatal HSV infection is a rare but serious condition, usually caused by vertical transmission of HSV from mother to newborn you can pass herpes with out an outbreak. Take the meds and take care of it!!!! BE SAFE TILL THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Herpes doesn't have to be visible to be spread. It can be transmitted without anyone even knowing they have it. If you were to have it in/around your mouth, you would have cold sores and possibly open sores on your gums and the inside of your cheeks. HSV2 can stay dormant for something like 6 months. So those Valtrex commercials are right and that is also what my OB/GYN told me.
