I was diagnosed at age 19, I take a lot of medication to control it, I excersize, eat very healthy and yes it does run in my family, m ydad died at 35 of a heart attack but he was relly unhealthy. I'm just wondering how many other people have this problem at such a young age?

i have an 8 year old son whom has hypertension as a result of iga nephropathy a very rare condition. he also has a family history of it.
