I have to bring pizza for a surprise party that we are putting together for one of my co-workers. She is a "super health-nut" and prefers the healthest of everything...if there is such a thing

I once heard a man on t.v. talking about a pizza he makes that is composed of fruits, veggies and the like. For example, for the crust he uses pita bread or crackers, he substitutes the tomato paste for a low fat spread, and instead of cheese he uses things like chopped nuts. The rest of the toppings may include shredded carrots, fresh chopped parsley, etc. In the end it looks just like a pizza, but probably taste like...well, let's just say its too healthy for my taste buds. Hope this was helpful.

If you are looking for ready-made pizza delivery style, I would say call around your area to see if any of the pizzeria's give you the option of a whole-wheat crust. Any crust made with white flour is going to be a turn off to a health nut, as the white flour has been bleached and pretty much all the nutrients have been sucked out of it. I don't think any of the national pizza chains offer this. So you are just going to have to get on the phone and find someone local. Here in Minneapolis, we have a local chain called Cheetah Pizza. They only do whole wheat crusts, and their vegatables are fresh...even their mushrooms...not canned. I am sure if you are in a Metropolitan area, you will likely find someone who offers this. The next best thing would be to go for a Veggie pizza. Hope this helps!!

White Pizza or Veggie Pizza. You can get it from your local pizza shop. If your having the party at your place of employment, order from the pizza shop that's closest to your job. Order in advance. They usually give you a good deal for office parties and such.

I had no idea that pizza was unhealthy
If you make it from scratch it contains:
water , bread or high gluten flour, salt , a little sugar and yeast
low fat mozzarella cheese
plum tomatoes, onions , garlic , olive oil, basil oregano and fennel seed
fresh mushrooms
sweet peppers red and /or green
sliced red onions
and if you you don't use pepperoni sausage or anchovies you have a healthy product

Italian Pizza in Italy. Or if you don't want to spend a nice thousand or two, go to your nearest organic store. It's frozen, but healthy and delicious.

I reside in NJ and there is a small chain of pizza places named "Frank's Pizza". They serve a delicious "Bruschetta Pie" which is a pie crust with chopped tomatoes and Italian spices on it (keep in mind tomatoes provide lycopene). Or you may order a "Spinach Pie", a pie with broccoli on it, or one that has mushrooms. BON APPETIT!

I say just to make them yourself. Many health food stores have gourmet preservative free pizza shells and lower fat organic cheese etc.
